Why should I use HD CCTV
Far too often CCTV has attracted negative publicity because of the quality of images delivered by traditional systems has not been of sufficient quality for Security managers or the Police to identify culprits.
HD CCTV delivers ‘Identification Grade’ images, providing the opportunity to capture images which will allow a suspect to be identified rather than just a verification that an incident has taken place.
How much better is HD CCTV compared to conventional analogue systems?
A factual point of reference shows a medium specification HD CCTV Camera will provide 10 times the detail over a standard analogue camera. In addition HD CCTV allows live and playback images to be enlarged and zoomed in to offer pictures with a clarity that is just not possible with a standard camera. This means wide areas can be covered by fewer cameras whilst still providing unrivalled detail.
How about Cost?
The most common misconception is that the overall cost of a HD CCTV system is higher than standard resolution analogue camera systems. However as one HD CCTV camera can do the job of multiple analogue cameras, there are reduced hardware and installation costs, so the overall cost of a HD CCTV system is reduced. There is also the benefit of lower maintenance costs over time.
